A Season of Gratitude Is Coming: October Tactile Treasures Sneak Peek

Fall is a season for reflection, giving, and connection. At Be Tactile, we’ve been crafting a special experience for our blind and low-vision makers: the October Tactile Treasures box.

The backdrop is a village of gingerbread-style houses with snowy rooftops and decorated evergreens, illustrated in soft pinks, browns, and whites. In the middle rests a raised rectangular card featuring a cozy purple house trimmed with wreaths, garlands, and a snow-covered roof. From its eaves hangs a round tag with the handwritten words “’tis the season.” Felt evergreen cutouts in shades of blue, green, and white surround the design, adding texture and dimension. Nearby, a flat lay arrangement expands the holiday mood evergreen branches dotted with red berries, greeting cards adorned with illustrated homes, and wrapped gifts featuring the same whimsical house patterns. To the side sits a planner, ready for seasonal notes and lists. One card on display reads “Winter Wishes from our home to yours!” which echoes the warmth of the scene. Together, these layered details create an atmosphere of comfort and cheer. Gift wrap patterned with red and white houses speaks to community and tradition, while pine sprigs and berries bring in the crispness of winter. The colors of deep reds, evergreen tones, snowy whites, and warm golden glows enhance the sense of celebration. The mood is festive, cozy, and joyful, inviting thoughts of togetherness, holiday gatherings, and the simple magic of the season.

This season, our cards celebrate Veterans Day, Thanksgiving, and the holidays through touch, texture, and thoughtful design. Each card is accessible, with braille options, tactile pieces, and full audio instructions.
